There’s something so magical about Wrightsville Beach that just feels like summer memories! (even though this session was captured in January!!)

I think it’s the amazing smell of the salty air and the sound of waves in the background while the kids run barefoot without a care in the world. It’s the kind of place where families can totally relax into the moment, which is exactly what makes it so perfect for photos!

This recent family session at Wrightsville Beach, just outside Wilmington, NC, was full of play, laughter, and those quiet in-between moments that end up meaning the most. The mom borrowed one of my fave client closet dresses, and paired it with the cutest green cardigan (you’ll see it later in the blog). We got sososo lucky with a rando 70 degree sunny day in January! I couldn’t believe it!! I HAVEEE to share the golden hour glow we captured on the marsh-side first! This was actually the end of their session, so the golden glow was insanely beautiful!

And of course we had to have a moment for mom & dad!!

We don’t always start on the marsh-side; so let me show you all the goodness on the beach side! The sun was higher in the sky and the beach was totally empty! We got to explore, search for seashells & mermaids, and play lots of games!
